The
Crafting
for Added Value
Craft
Education Program Overview
The
concept of this program is to offer lessons and courses of instruction in the
application of crafting techniques to utilize available materials in the
crafting of value added artifacts. For instance, wood that is available from
trees that are removed in the community will be salvaged and utilized to
provide material for crafting classes, which when incorporated into the
crafting of various types of artifacts, will allow for the value added thru the
process of crafting to be realized by the students. In order to successfully
implement the development and offering of this Program, resources must be
identified and obtained to cover the costs of Materials Acquisition (we will
endeavor to utilize primarily materials that are considered wastes, both to
keep costs down and to educate by example the principal of re-use and
recycling.) The intent of endeavoring to Develop and Implement this program is
to broaden peoples horizons and let them have a start in learning a useful, fun
hobby in one or more of the following areas.
